Terms of Service

Terms of Service
These terms cover the PromptPiglet web app and mobile apps (together, "the service"). They are plain by design; where a word has a specific legal meaning, we say what we mean rather than assume you already know it. This draft has not yet had a lawyer's review — see the notice above the title.
Who we are
PromptPiglet is operated by David Li, an individual, from Hong Kong SAR.
The service
PromptPiglet is free. It works without an account: choosing a template, adjusting it and copying the result never requires signing in. Templates and the prompts they produce are provided as-is, for you to judge and use at your own discretion — we curate the templates carefully, but we cannot promise a specific model will do well with any given prompt. We may change, add to, or discontinue any part of the service, including a template or a feature, at any time.
Your account
Signing in is passwordless — with Google, Apple, or a link we email you. Keep your sign-in method secure; anyone who can complete it can access your account. You may delete your account at any time from Me. See the privacy policy for exactly what deletion does to your data. Presets you have published are not deleted along with your account — they stay live and the byline changes to deleted account (see Your content, below, and the content policy).
Your content
You own what you publish. Publishing a preset gives us a licence to display it, and gives other people a licence to use it in their own prompts — that is what a shared library is. The content policy sets out what you may publish and what happens when you do; it is part of these terms, not a separate document you can ignore.
If your content breaks the content policy, we may remove it. Removal for a policy breach is permanent and total, including for people who had already saved it. This is different from unpublishing something yourself: unpublishing takes a preset out of the library and search, but anyone who had already saved it keeps working access to it from Mine.
Our content
The templates we curate are published under a CC-BY-4.0 licence, and our code is published under an Apache-2.0 licence — both say what you may do with them and what crediting they ask for. The PromptPiglet name and the piglet mark are ours; the open licences above cover the templates and the code, not permission to use our branding.
Acceptable use
Use the service the way the content policy describes: no personal information about someone else, no credentials or secrets, no living artist's style used by name, nothing designed to harm or deceive, no spam. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules, repeatedly or seriously.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, including that a template or a generated prompt will suit your purpose. We are not responsible for what a third-party AI model does with a prompt you paste into it — that is between you and the model's provider, and their own terms apply. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us to use it, which today is nothing.
Advertising
The service does not carry advertising today. If it does in future, ads will appear only on library and browsing pages, never inside the template flow itself, and never linked to your anonymous device identifier.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.
